I am currently enjoying life in Minneapolis with my amazing husband and my pack of crazy puppies.
I have always had a passion for photography and now have over 20 years of professional experience. Way back in high school (1990's!) before the digital age, I was a yearbook photographer and enjoyed developing film in the darkroom. Oh how things have changed! I do love the digital revolution though. It allows for shooting thousands of photos in one day and more creativity in post-processing. I strive to document the surprise, emotion and beauty of each moment with a bit of edgy drama.
I have been fortunate to be published internationally. It was an honor to see my severe weather photographs in Cosmopolitan, Outside Magazine and recently on the cover/ poster of the Movie "13 Minutes"! In 2008 Peggy and I were featured in a reality show series, "The Twister Sisters", on WE TV. We also had the amazing experience to be in a couple documentaries on National Geographic Television and on Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. What an experience that was!
I have spent most of my life in the Minneapolis area and started photographing weddings in 2006. I escaped to the enchanting San Juan mountains in Colorado for a couple years where I owned and operated a successful photography studio and framing shop. In Telluride I shot weddings, portraits, commercial work for local businesses and portfolio work for artists. It was an incredible time!
In addition to shooting, I'm always taking workshops and learning more from other experts in the field. I am also currently entering the exciting NFT space and community.
If there's a tornado in the forecast you will likely find me on the tail of the storm!
